I have been up since 5 a.m. today and am completely exhausted from traveling and an intense but amazing week. I am jonesing for some climbing so the evening will be a sesh…thankfully. Its hot here in Hurricane, the sun is SO intense and I am starting to think about what’s next. Mount Clark? Idaho? Flagstaff? Dunno!… Isaac Caldiero gave me the low on the conditions up at Clark and it sounds perfect. Plans are being made for the next chapter…new projects are needed right now…we all know the pattern.

I have been in Sacramento, California for the past week with Gregory Packs shooting content for the new line. The FUSION LINE!!!! It has been non-stop since last Friday with Tim Kemple shooting some amazing photographs and the marketing agency, Buckwld, shooting social media and multi-use videos for the pack series called the “Fusion Series”. This is an honor for me because I helped develop this series and I am VERY proud of the outcome. I am supposed to keep some of the images on the hush, but I am sure you can peep a little bit of the new line in these photos.

The position of the last week....

Siezmore art directing and Tim being REALLY attentive....

Beautiful shots of Annie in Tahoe

Group shots...booozin!

Me, Siezmore and Shane...my first backpacking overnight.

perfect sierra granite.

The sunglare shots...hawt.

our camp at Grass Lake. Roughin' it

The booze was necessity...

Annie, Shane, me, Tim, Alison, Siezmore...eatin' BAG food...DON'T do it!!

Bag food was honestly JUNK....Filet Mignon over the jetboil flame... expensive taste.

Day after Day....Matt and Jeff....great dudes.

all for the bags!

Balinas Beach

Tim and Steph....RUNNIN the game.
It was a VERY productive trip. Each day was early rising, shooting, plotting, scouting, driving, waiting and all for a great product. Be on the lookout for a likely hilarious video in the near future.

The crew....AGGRESSIVE!

San Fran in the backround.
Before I left for the week of shooting I had to do a little shooting myself. I am 90% done with the edits on The Re-Up and am quite proud of the result. We shot Visitor Q .14b and as well…I sent my boulder project the day before I left. I am calling it Bovice and consider it in the range of V11/12/13/14/15/16????? Someplace in there. It took me around 5 sessions on the rig and was a great challenge to fall on over and over. DONE deal… and YES…we got footage of that. ALL will be up on the internet in no time…just gotta get back into the swing of things…stand by.

Filming Visitor Q.....stand by for the vid.
…and of course….THANKS for reading everyone!!! Sincerely.

Thanks for the update. Nice site. Always entertaining. Cheers
DANG RIGHT ANGIE!!!! Awesome!!!
Good shit Joe! Props on the sends!
I grew up in San Diego where Gregory got its start way back when. In the early 80s I purchased a Gregory Cassin — a jumbo-size internal frame pack. Solid. Lifetime guarantee that I bet would be honored to this day if the pack hadn’t been stolen out of the trunk of my car a bunch of years ago. Damn, that still hurts.
Gregory was technical and serious gear. Seems like maybe they strayed from that for a while. I’m glad to see they’re pulling real athletes like yourself in on this new design. Credibility added.
My old Lowe Cloudwalker crag pack is starting to show wear. Will give your new Fusion line a look. Good work!
I live in Hurricane and have been climbing for about 17 years…I’d love to look at the lines you’ve put! whats the best way to communicate with you.
