Brad Weaver and I have been steady on the project tip. This route has proven to be mad hard with ALL of our efforts, days and tries. Respect. The nature of the route is SIMPLE and PURELY stamina/resistance. There is one shake spot on some getto holds after you have climbed something in the 13d/14a range. After this the real crux comes that surely checks in around 13c/d to the top. Brad and I have fallen at the last hard move of the real crux.
We have been trying to battle the cold conditions and just saying, “Screw it!”…we try man, we try like hell and freeze, go numb, fall becuase we are numb, recognize that each try will likely result in the same deal….”I’M NUMB!!!!” is the constant phrase. Sunday looks 50 degrees and YO….things will happen. I assure you.
It’s really exciting to have such a rad project and something I bolted. I guess it has more meaning that way huh?
I am resting today, due to snow and FREEZING cold air….and Probably rest tomorrow too. In a little while I am heading out to bolt another amazing route. I am pretty sure this one will be in the 5.13 range…we will see. Funny how the difficulty changes with so many tries…easier or harder.
