These last three days climbing I’ve had a lot of emotion. Do lots? Get a project? Just climb? Who knows man…. I have been spending a lot of time getting up things I can do and doing up the classics. I think this is important when going to an area and especially Hueco Tanks. Where there is a style for EVERY person out there, and in this sort of an area anyone who visits will be in heaven. I can guarantee you this. The style can be physical, technical, jungle-gym-ee, bizarre, slabby, facey, LOTS of roofs, and anything in between. Its the greatest. Add all that up with perfect conditions a lot of sunshine and YO!!…. You are in a great place.
The crew has been a lot of fun as well, I have enjoyed climbing with GP Salvo, and Jason Kehl who are VERY strong and super psyched on the bouldering game. Jason gave some good efforts today on the “South Mountain Project”, which is a bad ass roof with bullet “shield stone”. (Hueco rock that has been weathered to the point of glass and is hard as it gets.) This project is amazing and would be SUPER cool to put some effort into.
The end of the day led to Jason and I working out the classic and popular Rumble In The Jungle V12. Super cool roof with scoop holds and a LOT of beta to get. I am SUPER stoked on this one as it is one of my goals. We will see…
Having an amazing time here man… I gotta say. With the motivated people and ridiculous climbing it can’t get much better.
