Well….Im here. I am here and pretty dang happy. There really is no exceptions to being with good friends and going climbing. What could really be any better? I have truly learned in my life that friends are one of the most important entities and Colette and I always say “we have THE best friends”. And you know what? Throwing the climbing part in there too…..DAYUMN!!!! Respect.
I have had a couple of days climbing here in CO. With all of the traveling from Canada-Utah-Wyoming-Salt Lake-TRADESHOW-Colorado Springs-Boulder….. I am just trying to chill and focus on climbing again. Climbing in Rocky Mountain’s Chaos Canyon was a good eye opener as to how bad I suck. I got a couple v8/9’s done with a chunk of effort and then we got rained out. Typical. Gomez and Chad are strrrrrong and climbing with them I am super inspired to rise up. I think that climbing with people stronger than you is one of best ways to become stronger. It forces you to push your standards and get at it. I’m on that tip as of now…. it sucks to suck but it is also refreshing.
Yesterday Andrew Tower and Adam showed us a little cliff in Deer Creek. It’s a little cliff right off of the road with a 13a, 12b, 13d, and 14a. We did up all the easier routes then started to hustle the 14a. We all got fairly close, but no go. It was raining off and on, humid and NEGATIVE!!! BUT, we did get close and will be back. Its a nice route called Westside Connection. I am not sure who equipped it and sent it, but I know kids like Matt Segal (Sup Matt! You gonna catch a bad one kid!), Scott Hahn, Daniel Woods, and Matt Loydd. Finger locks and some compression, and a bit of pain. Oh yes, we will be back…. RMNP TOMORROWWWWW!!!!!
